AMDA Emergency Response #5 – West Japan Torrential Rain

Publication date:2018-07-13

On 10th July, two AMDA nurses provided a mobile medical consultation service at Sunwork Soja, an evacuation center in the hard-hit Soja city where 76 people have been seeking shelter. The team has been keeping the medical records of those who received the consultation which further helps the swift medical care (including the possible referral of patients to doctors and nearby medical institutions in serious cases.)

To maintain the sanitary condition in the shelter, AMDA made it a rule for every person to take the shoes off when entering the building, besides the thorough cleaning they do whenever needed.

At the same time, AMDA will start providing a massage service at the earliest possible time for the evacuees at Okada Elementary School, an evacuation center in Mabicho, the hardest hit location where most of the town has been underwater.
