A photo message sent by Satou Memorial Hospital,
thanking AMDA’s assistance
AMDA has been providing medical supplies which include facial masks and sanitizers to its relevant medical facilities since late April. Here are some of the comments we received from our beneficiaries.
"Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have been faced with a difficult situation. In a nursing home like this where seniors live together, we have to do our utmost to prevent the occurrence of the cluster of the infection. At the time when we were desperately in need of facial masks and sanitizers, it was AMDA who provided us with the items that were in short supply. While we extend our sincere appreciation, it made us realize how important it is to help each other and keeping in touch with each other on a regular basis. We will continue to put in place our precautionary measures thoroughly and hope to overcome the crisis in solidarity with every one of our staff. “ - Nursing Home “Niji” (Okayama, Japan)
“To those who were involved with the logistics of the aid distribution, we cannot begin to say how grateful we have been amid the scarcity of personal protective equipment.” - Kurashiki Medical Center (Okayama, Japan)
“We are calling on our staff as well as our residents and their families for their kind understanding and cooperation toward our COVID-19 countermeasures. Thank you so much for the sanitizers that were running short. In order to contain the spread of the infection, we would like to make most of the items, thanking you in our hearts.” - Special Nursing Home “Life Care Momozono” (Okayama, Japan)
Although the state of emergency has been lifted in Okayama, AMDA will continue to monitor the situation at home and abroad.
