On November 27, AMDA team set foot in Tacloban. After assessing that there were enough relief supplies in Tacloban, the medical team consisted of two doctors from Armed Forces of the Philippines, a nurse and a coordinator from AMDA, with a dozen escorting officers from AFP, started the mission moving from an area to another that needed medical care and attention.

They implemented relief supply distributions in Palo and Dulag. Meanwhile the medical team examined about 200 people in Tolosa and San Roque. During these missions, AMDA medical team met a woman who had an infection on her amputated leg and provided her a necessary medical treatment.

On November 28, the joint AFP and AMDA team moved from Tacloban, Leyte to Borongan, Samar by land with three trucks loaded with relief supplies. They distributed supplies, such as water, clothes, towels and blankets in the coastal areas. They were especially welcomed in Sto.Nino as they were the first relief team for the area.

In addition, the joint team also contributed by donating the tetanus vaccines and antidotes to the Health Center in MacArthur. They found rubbles still scattered around in the area. Those places had not received enough relief supplies compared to Tacloban.

Through the mobile clinic in Borongan, Samar on November 29, the medical team examined 150 patients. Major symptoms were respiratory symptoms, hypertension, fever and insomnia. Relief supply istributions were implemented in Hernani, Giporlos, Batang and more.

According to the report from AMDA medical team, there are four hospitals functioning in Tacloban. The roads in Tacloban still has a lot of work to do. Public security has been deteriorated due to escaped prisoners.
