Aftershocks still continue even after a week has passed from the occurrence of the magnitude 7.7 quake. According to WFP as of 4 April, the tremors have damaged bridges and caused road blockades in many places. Debris have not been cleared while power shortages and network disruptions have been occurring.
A state of emergency has been declared in six severely affected areas, namely, Mandalay, Sagaing, Magway, Shan, Naypyidaw, and Bago.

Based on the extent of devastation in the affected regions, the team will again discuss further plans with Dr. Than Sein on 6 April, the following day.
