The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has wreaked havoc on many facets of our society which forced people to lose their jobs, experience a significant drop in their income or face poverty and malnutrition. The extent of such consequences has especially worsened the poverty level of impoverished communities or low-income groups.
But, now is the time to cooperate and extend a helping hand to each other. Solely based on partnership, AMDA has been tapping into its global network across 32 countries and regions to support those who are withstanding the test of time by giving a boost to locally-driven humanitarian initiatives.
As of November 2020, India has the world's second highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases. The figure has been steadily on the rise.
The nation's impoverished communities have been faced with a dire situation in which people have not been able to purchase enough food. Regardless of such circumstances, a new life is born into this world every day. Malnutrition, therefore, imposes an immediate threat to the lives of pregnant women and their babies.
By delivering food items to mothers-to-be every week,
AMDA is trying to protect the healthy childbirth.
